Don't worry, it's not one of those gay 'what are you listening to right now? when was the last time you farted? if you could shag anyone from Friends who would it be?' lists, but more of a list of stuff that's happened since the end of uni...
Designed some greeting cards, they got approved and then rejected by the distributors for not being 'mainstream/universally appealing enough'
Made
[link] with a load of genius web coding help from Corinne. Pleased with the animation/interactive bits though.
Went to Brighton to Jonny's exhibition. It's fantastic, we buy some prints and Pete makes us about 4 hours late home by getting trains mixed up. And Derek was there!
Got all geared up for the launch of Velcro Cows and Inflatable Geese, only to be told they'd been delayed.
Designed a company logo for a measly Not Much Money, it's since been in newspapers/magazines and on the side of their two vans.
Created new pages for Why the Nazis Lost, turning it into a book. Some of them are awesomely great.
Velcro Cows came out, no PR or launch event (we'll see why later on...)
Appeared in Photoshop Creative magazine in a 'reader feature'. I don't actually read it. It's expensive and rubbish.
Two illustrations from Why the Nazis Lost gain entry to Images 32. Hopefully that'll send some work my way.
Velcro Cows appears on the Guardian website and in the HMV Christmas catalogue. Sells out just before Christmas.
I work in Waterstones for a bit. It's a great job, and I now miss it.
Designed some Christmas cards, they got rejected again for not being 'mainstream/universally appealing enough'. I think they're trying to tell me something.
The space image from The League of Really Very Bad Pilots appears in the Refresh 2007 Exhibition. We go along to the private view, and the worst one there wins the £1000. I'm bitter, not because I didn't win, but because there were at least 5 other people who deserved it so much more. T'was like going to the Turner prize (but there was some good stuff there).
They send my picture back inadequately packaged and the glass smashes. They pay me £100 for the inconvenience.
Corinne and I got to Florida for 5 days. It's absolutely fantastic, beautiful weather, awesome beaches and a horseshoe crab. (and an amazing tuna sandwich). Best. Holiday. Ever.
I draw some old people in varius poses and get paid A Lot. This makes up for the company logo that I got bugger-all for. Also do some 'Sunshine' designs and get another Bit More Money for them.
I start work on my Global Warming series. It's, in my opinion, my best work yet, but is not accepted by any magazines/papers. I'll continue to work on it and turn it into a book at some point.
The Friday Project go bust because they've managed to waste around £1 million. I get none of my royalties and am generally bitter for a while. Corinne is a big help though.
I win (along with 4 other people) a t-shirt competition, earning a bit more cash.
I get a literary agent, who is trying to get a publisher for Geese and the Nazis. Good luck to him.
I think that's about it. All in all it's been up and down like a heart monitor, but damn good fun at the same time
Devious Comments
Soon after I'd written that comment I had another look round the exhibition, and decided that "largely substandard" (as I wrote) was a bit too harsh, and in fact most of it was very good. Somehow on my first look round I'd only paid attention to the rubbish.
Yours still did stand out as some of the best.
All the best for the future mate,
Ben

Carpe Diem
But I have a question. Which site did you go to in order to create your very own domain and website? And 2.) Is this really a question I should direct to Corinne as she helped you out?
See you soon.

Adult yes, but still prone to adolescent flashbacks, thank you!
